Water

I worked for Mott MacDonald over three summers while at university and this invaluable experience confirmed that this was definitely the career for me. I was awarded the Mott MacDonald Charitable Trust to continue my studies and gained a Masters in water and environmental management.
My role is as a hydrogeologist working on groundwater projects and in other areas where I can support the multi-disciplinary team in the water division. In 2007 I won first prize in the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management East Anglia branch graduate paper competition for my paper on soil moisture models.
I’ve worked on river studies, borehole headwork assessments and water resources planning in northern China, which was a fantastic experience. I’ve also been on secondment with Anglian Water Services where I’ve been given the opportunity to project manage the £100 million borehole rehabilitation programme.
I’m an active member of the Mott MacDonald football, running, cricket, hockey and golf clubs. These are all subsidised through the company and great fun to be involved in.
