Oil and gas

Nicole PapaioannouAfter graduating from university, I joined the oil and gas team at Mott MacDonald where I've been given the opportunity to contribute to numerous challenging and exciting projects world-wide. We are engaged in providing a range of technical, advisory and consultancy services to private investors, governments, funding agents and other international organisations.

Specifically, I am working within the oil and gas consultancy unit which allows me to interact with clients directly, apply my technical knowledge and gradually learn the concepts of project management and business development. Recently, I was part of a team which travelled to Ghana in order to perform a LPG study on behalf of a private client. The study involved thorough market research, consultations with various stakeholders and site visits.

I've also been involved in pre-feasibility studies on enhancing the security of gas supply to the European Union, a technical due diligence on the expansion of a refinery and the development of a natural gas-based industrial area in Africa. Furthermore, I've been part of the team which performed techno-economic evaluations to assist the acquisition of a petrochemical storage terminal in North Europe.

In addition to the projects, I was given the chance to travel overseas with my colleagues to attend a prestigious conference in Vienna on the market dynamics in gas supply security.

Further to working well together, our team arranges dinners frequently and fun events such as ice-skating, whenever possible! In this way, we get the opportunity to interact with each other on a friendly basis and not just in our professional environment.
