Meet our graduates

Stephen Pike

Stephen Pike
I joined Mott MacDonald in September 2007 as they offered me the opportunity to break into water engineering. I didn’t know exactly what to expect as I’d done very little on the subject in my civil engineering degree, but I knew I didn’t want my career to be focused solely on building structures.

Working in the investment planning department of the water division has been an exciting new experience. I’ve spent my first few months assisting with the development of an ambitious model building tool designed to aid a leading UK water company plan investment in its treatment works over the next 25 years. Being confident with computers and having a good working knowledge of the relevant software, this has suited me well.

There are many other areas within the water division that graduates can work in. And if you feel you’re not working in the area that best suits you, the Group offers the flexibility to enable you to move into one that does.

My colleagues are friendly and approachable and I’ve found Mott MacDonald an easy place to settle into and a great environment to work in.
