Reading
The Reading office has a small team of around 14 people split over
the three groups of water and environment (I am in the water
group), management economics and buildings. The office is situated
in a very central location in Reading right opposite the train
station. I love that because I live in Reading and only have a ten
minute commute in the morning.
I think this location really encourages the use of public transport between the offices. Because Reading is geographically quite central relative to a lot of Mott MacDonald offices, many people find it is a useful office to come to for meetings when the attendees are located across a number of different sites.
In this office the water team work closely with the larger offices in Bristol and Cambridge to help provide resources to their projects and to use their much larger knowledge base to help us on our projects. I enjoy working in such a small team because it gives me the opportunity to try many different things that in other circumstances I might not get the opportunity to do. There is a great feeling of team spirit in our office.
